Manage people and move-outs

Open People for tenants and organization members. Open Landlords for the landlord-focused assignment view. Search, filter, sort, choose table columns, or print the current list where those controls are available.

Open a person to review their account status, role, residential unit, building access, profile information, and relevant lifecycle actions.

A tenant has one active residential-unit assignment. Confirm the building and unit before approving a QR join request or scheduling a move-out.

When a tenant leaves:

  1. Open the tenant detail page.
  2. Choose the move-out action.
  3. Select the effective date and add an optional note.
  4. Confirm the schedule.
  5. Cancel or adjust it before completion when needed.

The tenant remains active until the effective date. Completed move-out history stays available to authorized staff. The same account can be invited again later with the same email address.

Tenants can request a future move-out date from Settings > Housing. Review the request and confirm it when the date is correct. A tenant can cancel only while the request is still awaiting confirmation.

Landlords can manage only assigned buildings. Update managed buildings from the landlord detail page. Assigned landlords become the primary recipients for operational building email; organization admins are the fallback when no landlord is assigned.

Observers have read-only access to one or more assigned buildings. Organization admins can add or remove observed buildings from the Observer’s person detail page.

Observer assignments never grant People access, private ticket conversations, attachments, internal notes, contractor cases, or operational email routing.

Prefer the role-specific move-out or assignment-removal flow when someone only leaves a building. Account deletion is a separate privacy action and can affect sessions and personal-data retention.
